Arrival
Tampere Airport
AirBaltic offers two daily flights to Tampere via Riga, providing efficient connections from various European cities. Riga Airport is modern and compact, making transfers quick and easy. Arriving directly in Tampere saves time and simplifies your journey.
Seamless Transport from the Airport to the City
From Tampere Airport, you can effortlessly reach the city center with Nysse bus #103, which operates according to flight schedules. The bus takes you directly to downtown Tampere, within walking distance of many hotels.
Helsinki Airport
Helsinki Airport, Finland’s international air travel center, is a two-hour drive from Tampere. Trains and buses between the airport and Tampere run frequently.
Get Directly to the Airport by Train
You can reach Helsinki Airport with just one train ticket from anywhere in Finland. From the airport’s railway station, you can easily walk to either of the airport’s terminals without needing to go outside. Train tickets can be booked via the VR website.
Public transport
Tampere City Public Transport bus 12 drives to Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre.
Bus 12 route goes via Tampere Railway Station (Rautatieasema E, ID 0526) and Tampere bus station (Ratinan kauppakeskus, ID 0120). It takes about 15 minutes to get from Railway station to Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre and the bus stop is in front of the main entrance: Messukeskus B (2560).
Return buses to the city also leave in front of the main entrance, Messukeskus A (2554).

Taxi stand is located in the front of main entrance in Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre. Tampere City Centre is about 15 minutes away from here.
City Bikes
A Tampere City bike station is located next to the Exhibition and Sports Centre by a bus stop named Messukeskus B. City bikes are an especially clever and affordable way to travel between the Exhibition and Sports Centre and the city central but can also be used to reach other locations near city central as well as in Kaleva and Hervanta areas.
